Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union Supports Education Through Funding College and Technical School Scholarships.

GHFCU is now accepting applications for our 2024 Scholarship. Scholarships are available to GHFCU members in good standing. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan counties is eligible to open an account at the Credit Union. If you do not have an account, you can open one anytime before the scholarship period ends to be eligible!

We will award two college scholarships- a $2,000 first-place prize and a $1,500 second-place prize. The online application process will open to high school seniors on February 1st, 2024, and will close on April 15th, 2024.

As part of the submission process, applicants will be required to submit a one to two-minute video that showcases their creativity and commitment to the community. Students’ videos should answer the question “How will you use your education to help your community”. Additionally, students will need to submit their Academic Transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a compiled submission of their extracurricular activities.
