We know the holiday season can take a real toll on the wallet. In fact, studies show that the average American spent more than $900 during the holiday season in 2016 and 2017.
Despite the expense, spending the holidays with friends and loved ones is an amazing part of the year, so we want to help you enjoy the season as much as possible. Everyday bills can get in the way of that enjoyment, so a short break from the routine may be all you need to have a fantastic season.
For that reason, we’re offering you the chance to skip the December or January payment for a loan that you obtained through Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union.
All you need to do is submit a request by Nov. 11 to skip the December payment or Dec. 17 to skip the January payment. A $15 processing fee for each loan will apply, and regular monthly payments will resume following the month that was skipped.
By participating in the program, your loan payment will be advanced by one month, the maturity date of your loan may be extended, and the unpaid interest for that month will be collected when you resume payment.
For a Skip-a-Payment application, stop by one of our credit union branches in the Savannah Metropolitan Area. Forms also may be downloaded from our website, and completed forms may be emailed to member.service@gaheritagefcu.org or faxed to (912) 238-5944.
